Desmond Granville Thomas retired after 27 years as a Prison Officer and he and his wife, Judith Thomas, have been portraying specialised school talks on the English Civil War since 1984 operating as the re-enactment group Historical Services to Schools.

More recently we have added The Medieval, Tudor and Stuart Experiences and have been in re-enactment since 1974 and are members of many societies inclunding Sir John Salviles Household, Towton Battlefield Society and its re-enactment section The Frei.Compagnie, 17th Century Life and Times, White Rose of Stuart Living History Group (Jacobite Rising),  Liverpool Pirate Bretheren plus a new venture into the 14th cent with Amicorum..
